Union City

Union City is residential, diverse, and lined up on the Fremont line. The station district and the hills of the old Decoto and Alvarado communities are the local map.

It is not a tourist city, and it does not need to be. The station gives a commute. The neighborhoods give relatively attainable houses for the bay side of Alameda County. Shopping happens along the corridors and in neighboring Fremont and Hayward.

The hills on the east side change the feel quickly, toward dry grass and views. The flats are the everyday city.
